  <body>The Coalition Against Bigger Trucks (CABT) is leading the campaign against truck size and weight increase bills in Washington. CABT is organizing a national Lobby Day in Washington DC for Thursday, July 9. Supporters from more than 20 states will be flying to DC to lobby against the truck weight increase legislation. CABT is supporting a bill that would freeze truck sizes and weights on the 160,000 mile National Highway System. The bill, HR 1618, The Safe Highways and Infrastructure Preservation Act (SHIPA) is sponsored by Congressman McGovern (D- MA) and 94 cosponsors.
&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;
RSI and CABT are encouraging members of the rail supply community to contact their congressional representatives and urge them to a) oppose any bills that would increase truck size and weight including HR 1799, and b) cosponsor the SHIPA bill. Supply company executives who have any questions or are interested in coming to DC for the CABT Lobby Day are encouraged to contact CABT President Bill Gibb at wcgibb@billgibb.org or 703-535-3131.</body>
